Perfect Versus Imperfect

The Message of The Cross is simple...
So let there be no misconception...
What the Father did at Calvary
Was to replace imperfection.

Imperfection, stained with sin,
Could have had no "Welcome Home."
Heaven cannot be contaminated...
It cannot house the sin syndrome.

God is perfect...Jesus is perfect
And Heaven is perfect, too.
So the Father sent His perfect Son
As a substitute for me and you.

He dumped on Him our many sins
When He sent Him to the Tree.
He was pierced and His Precious Blood
Was shed for you and me.

He was the perfect Lamb of God...
Without blemish and without spot...
And took upon Himself the filth,
The repulseness, the rot.

When looking at the Christ we see
The perfection of the Father...
And with an honest look at us...
We wonder why did He even bother.

But He did because He wants to take
Each one of us above
We're riciptients of His Mercy...
Of His Grace and His Great Love.

Some think perfect is impossible
For humans to perceive.
But with God all things are possible
And the key is to believe.

So imperfection puts on perfection
Due to that perfect sacrifice.
And allowed into God's perfect Heaven
By the cleansing Blood of Christ.
